BUFFALO, N.Y. (WGRZ) -- A video posted on YouTube is sparking conversation and putting the spotlight on race relations in Western New York.
The video was posted by YouTube user "IAMOYAB" who claims it was recorded in the parking lot of a store in Cheektowaga on Friday, May 30.
The video shows a woman and her young children being recorded by a person inside a vehicle. The woman yells at the person in the vehicle and at several points uses the "n-word."
The YouTube video does not show what lead to the altercation.
Melissa Holmes from 11Alive's Buffalo sister station WGRZ, spoke to the woman in the video, Janelle, who asked that her last name not be used. She says confrontation began after the man in the car almost hit her son.
The video is now receiving worldwide attention.
