ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dream celebrated a major milestone on Monday night, drawing a record 17,608 fans to State Farm Arena, marking the largest ever crowd for a WNBA game in Georgia.
The Dream WNBA rookie star Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Monday night. Clark, who has been a draw for record crowds on the road throughout the league this season, scored 19 points against the Dream, coming out victorious 84-79.
The atmosphere was electric as WNBA fans packed the building to support the Dream in what was billed as the season's biggest game.
The Dream’s social media reflected the excitement, with the team tweeting, "We did it!" along with a shoutout to the fans who made the event memorable.
