Everyone wants to get a look inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but it'll cost a pretty penny.
The new home of the Atlanta Falcons has seen a 91 percent increase for ticket prices on the secondary market compared to last season, according to data provided to 11Alive from Ticket IQ.
The average ticket price for Falcons games this season is $441. Last season, it was $277 for the team's final year at the Georgia Dome.
With everyone wanting to catch a glimpse at the $1.5 billion stadium and its amenities like the 58-foot-ball halo board, preseason prices have increased, as well.
Saturday's Falcons game against the Arizona Cardinals, which is the first game to be held inside the stadium, is the most expensive pre-season ticket in the NFL this season with an average price of $153. The cheapest ticket is $67. The second preseason game against Jacksonville is substantially less with an average of $145, cheapest ticket at $30.
The most expensive regular season game is Nov. 12 against the Dallas Cowboys, with the cheapest ticket at $277. The cheapest regular season game this season is the Falcons' game on Dec. 7 against the New Orleans Saints, but the cheapest ticket is still $97.
The price hike isn't just for Falcons games. This year's college football games held at the stadium are even more expensive, but they also feature some of the best match-ups this season.
The Chick-fil-A Kickoff game between Alabama and Florida State is the second-most expensive college football ticket this season. The average price is $721 with the cheapest ticket at $283. Georgia vs. Notre Dame is No. 1 with an average price of $1,585.
The national championship will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2018, and the average asking price is $1,572, with the cheapest ticket at $912. The event is still five months out, so those prices could still go up.
Mercedes-Benz is also the home of Atlanta United FC, and with the team's early success and high interest, tickets are averaging $123 for the remainder of the inaugural season.
One event that may be worth holding out for if these prices are too steep for you is the GHSA high school football state championship games.
Tickets in the past have been $18-20 per day. GHSA hasn't revealed how much tickets will be this year, but it will undoubtedly be the cheapest event held at the stadium this football season.
The championships are Dec. 8-9.
But hey, at least after you've dropped a few hundred to get in, a hot dog is $2.
