ATHENS, Ga. — College GameDay is headed to Athens.

Sanford Stadium will be electric Saturday as college football's premiere pre-game show will broadcast from the University of Georgia.

Fresh off a homecoming win against Missouri, UGA will go for its 27th consecutive win in a historic matchup against Ole Miss

The latest AP Poll put the Dawgs on top. Meantime, the College Football Playoff rankings has Georgia sitting at No. 2.

It will be a game to watch as the Rebels were ranked No. 10 in the opening CFP list. The Rebels are likely to jump at least one place, after Oklahoma lost Saturday. Their sole loss this season was against Alabama.

The UGA-Ole Miss matchup is a tale of two coaches as Kirby Smart and Lane Kiffin will meet for the first time as the head of two powerhouse teams. The two were on Nick Saban's coaching staff for Alabama's 2014 and 2015 seasons.

The last time these two teams met, the Bulldogs lost 45-14 against the Rebels in 2016 - Smart's first season as head coach.

College GameDay will capture the action leading up to kick off, stationed at Myers Quad on the UGA campus.
