ATLANTA — NFL hopefuls will learn their fate over the next few days as the 2024 Draft begins. With that, 11Alive is keeping its eye on a few Georgia Bulldogs that could make the cut.
Here's a breakdown of how the draft will play out over the next three nights in Detroit.
- Thursday, April 25: Round 1 at 8 p.m.
- Friday, April 26: Rounds 2-3 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 27: Rounds 4-7 at noon
Big names from UGA -- like Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey -- have been on the minds of sports analysts and popular in some mock drafts. Both were top pass catchers for the Bulldogs.
Bowers left UGA raking in the top five in Georgia history in receiving yards, receptions, and touchdowns. He announced earlier this year that he would declare for the draft. The tight end had stellar performances last season, even bouncing back after suffering a high ankle sprain and surgery for the injury.
McConkey -- a fan favorite -- also shared his intentions to declare for the draft earlier this year. The wide receiver called his time at UGA "nothing short of amazing." During the 2023 season, he played in nine games and caught 30 passes for 478 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
11Alive will update this story during the first round to see how the Bulldogs fare Thursday night.
