JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Kirby Smart wasn't messing around in Saturday's postgame press conference after a third straight beatdown of Florida.
We know the UGA head coach is no stranger to using bulletin board material to his advantage, and former Florida head coach Dan Mullen gave him just that on social media when he tweeted out his projected winners for Saturday's contests.
In Mullen's predictions, he had several games on the docket -- one of which near the top was Florida over Georgia. You can see his tweet below:
Smart was asked after the game about the outside noise of people talking about Florida pulling off a potential upset on Georgia, to which Smart said he usually doesn't hear the outside noise, but he admitted that he knows it's out there and that he even got a text on Saturday before the game.
"Somebody texted me before the game and was like 'all these people predicting that we're not going to win today.'" Smart said.
Then, he appeared to take a shot at Mullen.
"Where's that coming from? He's supposed to be my friend. He didn't like to recruit though, so it gets him."
Take a listen:
Mullen, who is now a college football analyst on ESPN, caught flac from the members of the media that covered the SEC during his time at Flordia. He even received criticism from Florida fans for his lower-than-average recruiting class than the Gators were used to under previous head coach Urban Meyer, who won two national titles during his time there from 2005 to 2011.
Georgia knocked off Florida by a final of 43-20 on Saturday.
