ATHENS, Ga. — 11Alive now has an early look at UGA's 2024 football schedule, courtesy of insiders at UGASports.com.
Georgia won 29 games over the past three seasons, including back-to-back national championships, before losing by a field goal to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
In the eyes of the College Football Playoff committee, that was enough to keep them out of college football's final four. It's a tough pill to swallow for many UGA fans, but there will nonetheless still be one more chance to see the Dawgs in action this year. On Dec. 30, UGA will be playing against Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
When looking ahead to what next season brings, UGA fans will have no shortage of games to mark on their 2024 calendar.

Schedule highlights
- In Week 1, Georgia will take on ACC foe Clemson inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This will be the fourth time they've played since 2013 and the first since 2021 when UGA and Clemson battled it out during a Week 1 neutral site matchup in Charlotte that saw the Dawgs win 10-3. UGA lost at Clemson in 2013 and beat them in Sanford Stadium in 2014.
- A Week 3 matchup could see them go up against quarterback Brock Vandagriff, who was with the Dawgs the past three seasons before transferring to Kentucky on Wednesday.
- Georgia will get their chance to exact revenge on the Crimson Tide for their SEC title loss when they visit Tuscaloosa to face Alabama on Sept. 28. UGA faces both Alabama schools (Auburn) in back-to-back weeks.
- Fresh into the SEC in 2024, UGA visits Austin to face the Texas Longhorns in mid-October in what should be a budding SEC rivalry.
- The Dawgs play against both SEC schools from the state of Mississippi this year. Fresh off a 52-17 beatdown of Ole Miss at Sanford Stadium this year, UGA heads to Oxford to take on Ole Miss as they look to get back at the Dawgs in November. A few weeks earlier, UGA will host the Bulldogs of Mississippi State, four years after beating them at home during the COVID season in 2020.
- Georgia ends the season with three consecutive home games inside Sanford Stadium, something they hope can end their season strong as they look to get back to the SEC Championship. Keep in mind, with new rule changes, the top two overall teams from the SEC will head to the title game in Atlanta beginning next year.
Come 2024, it's safe to say the Dawgs will have a much tougher road ahead than they have in previous years. But there's no doubt it will bring a much more exciting slate of games that UGA fans can look forward to each and every week.
