ATHENS, Ga. — For the first time in 2023, College GameDay is heading to Athens for a massive top-10 showdown between the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels and No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs.

When college football's premiere pregame show rolls into town, UGA fans will see a familiar face on the GameDay set at Myers Quad for the Saturday selections.

Two-time national champion Bulldog linebacker and Philadelphia Eagles rookie Nolan Smith is returning to The Classic City to make picks. Smith was a first-round selection in April's NFL Draft.

In his four-year career at Georgia, Smith was a vocal leader on defense and rallied the team during pivotal moments. He finished with 66 tackles, 11.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss. His season was cut short in 2022 by a season-ending pectoral injury.

The Bulldogs and Rebels play at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, with the game being broadcast on ESPN.
