RIVERDALE, Ga. β A Riverdale High alum and Mercer defensive back was recognized by the Associated Press as a first-team FCS All American with the team announced on Tuesday.
Cornerback TJ Moore, who is also a finalist for the FCS national defensive player of the year award, the Buck Buchanan Award, was one of two metro Atlanta natives on Mercer to be named to the All-America FCS team by the AP.
His teammate Myles Redding, a Mableton native who went to Whitefield Academy in Cobb County, was named to the All America second-team.
Moore will attend the FCS National Awards Banquet on Jan. 4 in Texas as one of three shortlist finalists for the Buck Buchanan Award.
