ATLANTA — The Final Four is coming back to Atlanta!

Four years after the finale to college basketball's big tournament was canceled right here in Atlanta due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is coming to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2031.

This now makes it the sixth time that Atlanta has been selected for the Men's Final Four, but the fifth time it will host. The last time it hosted was in 2013 when Louisville defeated Michigan in the National Championship.

“We are thrilled with the NCAA’s decision to award Atlanta the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four for a sixth time,” said Dan Corso, the president of the Atlanta Sports Council. “We were eager to host a future Final Four after the heartbreak of 2020 and we are grateful to the NCAA for allowing us another opportunity to showcase this great city to basketball fans in 2031.”

Atlanta has hosted the Men's Final Four in 1977, 2002, 2007 and 2013. Other events that Atlanta has on tap until the 2031 Final Four include:

  • 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship
  • 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Division I Southeast Regional
  • 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game
  • FIFA World Cup 2026™
