Former Georgia high school basketball star Jaylen Brown was drafted No. 3 overall by the Boston Celtics in Thursday's NBA Draft at Barclays Arena.

Brown played at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. The 5-star wing played one season with the California Bears before committing to the draft.

"I'm glad I ended up where I am," Brown told ESPN after getting drafted saying he was not sure where he would end up in the draft. "I had no idea."

Brown was the 2016 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year averaging 14 points per game for the Golden Bears.

Brown was a McDonald's All-American after his senior year at Wheeler.

He led the Wildcats to the quarterfinals of the DICK's High School Basketball National Tournament in 2015.
