GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Tristin English drove in five runs, Brandon Gold pitched seven solid innings and Georgia Tech stayed alive in the NCAA Tournament by beating Bethune-Cookman 12-3 in the Gainesville Regional on Saturday.

English delivered a two-run single in the fifth inning, breaking a 3-all tie, and added a three-run home run in the ninth. That was plenty for Gold and Georgia Tech's bullpen. Gold (9-3) scattered seven hits and three runs to help the Yellow Jackets (37-24) snap a four-game losing streak. They advanced to play the loser of the Florida-Connecticut game.

Bethune-Cookman (29-27) was eliminated from the regional.

Nathan Bond drove in two runs to lead the Wildcats, but it was hardly enough considering the team's pitching staff gave up early runs for the second straight game. Florida scored seven runs in the first four innings against Bethune-Cookman on Friday. Georgia Tech plated six in the first five innings Saturday.
