Cedar Grove football players share commitments on National Early Signing Day

Athletes from Cedar Grove High School -- who just won the Class 3A state championship are sharing their plans for college football.

ELLENWOOD, Ga. — Football players around Georgia are sharing where they plan to play college ball as they announce their decisions on Early Signing Day.

Athletes from Cedar Grove High School -- who just won the Class 3A state championship -- will make their commitments known publicly Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Some of the athletes have already shared on social media where they are headed. 

Here's a rundown of what we know.

EJ Colson

According to Rivals.com, the dual threat quarterback had several school offers but verbally committed to the University of Central Florida over the summer. 

EJ Colson shared a video Wednesday morning suited up in UCF's gear. 

Coach Gus Malzahn also welcomed Colson and other future Knights on the platform X.

Lakhi Roland 

Earlier this year, Lakhi Roland announced he would be committing to the University of Maryland.  

Maryland tweeted Wednesday the defensive back is "locked in" and "rolling up from Georgia."

Kyle Mosley

Kyle Mosley is signing with the Blazers. The University of Alabama at Birmingham welcomed Mosley on the X platform to the 205.

The team called him a "dominant presence at the line of scrimmage." They added he chose UAB over App State, Georgia Southern, WKU,  and others. 

According to Rivals.com, the defensive tackle had at least 11 offers. 

Jordan Thornton

Jordan Thornton is signing up to be a Trojan.  He's headed to play football at Anderson University in South Carolina.

He shared the announcement on the X platform, and Offensive Line Coach James Thurn called Thornton a "great player person and an even better person."

Thornton thanked the coach and also said he can't wait for the experience.
