4. Reese Neumann of Holy Innocents Episcopal School helps exhausted runners at the end of the Darlington Cross Country Invitational.
5. Hillgrove girls win first state title in the school’s history
6. Hannah Miniutti of Blessed Trinity and Morgan Vaden of St. Pius come from behind and track down the leaders under the lights at the Wingfoot XC ClassicGirls Championship Race.
7. Graham Blanks of Athens Academy sets the course record at the GHSA State Meet in Carrolton by 18 seconds.
8. Walton High School wins its first boys state title since 1986.
9. Justin Wachtel of Mary Persons outkicks Sully Shelton of Harrison to win the Wingfoot XC Classic Boys Championship race.
10. Athanasius “Athni” Tesfaye of Loganville sprints to the finish to win the 5A State title over defending state Champion Dominic Macias of Union Grove.
