Highly-ranked metro Atlanta offensive lineman commits to Georgia

​According to 11Alive's UGA insiders at Rivals, Smith had an 82.4% chance of choosing Georgia.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A four-star metro Atlanta high school football recruit is about to make Georgia's offensive line even more stout.

Cortez Smith, a 6'3", 305-pound offensive lineman at Parkview High School, decided his college football future between Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Miami.

According to 11Alive's UGA insiders at Rivals, Smith had an 82.4% chance of choosing Georgia.

Smith is ranked 21st in the nation of all Georgia high school recruits and seventh at his position, offensive guard. He is the No. 187-ranked player in the nation, according to Rivals.
