ATLANTA — De’Andre Hunter is missing time, and the Atlanta Hawks are feeling it big time.
The 6'8, 225-pound forward has missed five straight games, due to him having to undergo a lateral meniscus arthroscopic debridement procedure on his knee earlier this week.
Locked On Hawks host Brad Rowland spoke about the injury during the latest episode, and what it means for the Atlanta Hawks. Rowland said Hunter's absence is "very evident on both ends of the floor."
"Especially offensively for the Hawks with how he was playing," he added.
Hunter has played in 18 games this season, averaging 17.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game this year.
He is expected to miss a few more games over the next couple of weeks.
Rowland predicted that Hunter will miss through the All-Star break but will "hopefully come back shortly after.”
