Braves-Phillies NLDS Game 4 start time moved back

The change in start time came with Arizona finishing a sweep of Los Angeles in the other NL Division Series on Wednesday night.

PHILADELPHIA — The Atlanta Braves will have their season on the line Thursday night in Philadelphia - and now you'll have to stay up a bit later to see whether or not they can hang on.

The game, originally scheduled for 6:07 p.m. ET, will now begin two hours later at 8:07 p.m. in a scheduling change made by Major League Baseball that followed on the other National League Division Series - between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers - ending Wednesday night.

NLDS Game 4 basics

  • Who: Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies
  • What: NLDS Game 4
  • Where: Philadelphia
  • When: 8:07 pm. ET

Spencer Strider will be on the hill for the Braves trying to extend their 2023 postseason life. He'll be opposite Philadelphia's Ranger Suárez.

Game 4 follows on a deflating defeat for Atlanta in Game 3, in which they went down early to Philly and never really threatened to come back - losing 10-2. Starter Bryce Elder's second-half regular season struggles continued into the NLDS, as he allowed six runs on five hits and a walk in 2 2/3 innings.

If the Braves can survive behind Strider on Thursday night, Game 5 would be back in Atlanta on Saturday.
