ATLANTA — It was a rollercoaster of emotions for Braves fans as they gripped the edge of their seats in a wild finish between the Braves and Mets at Truist Park.
Atlanta had two prime chances to seal a win against their NL East-rival Mets, but the bullpen was unable to keep the lead despite Ozzie Albies' heroics.
The Braves had a commanding 3-0 lead for much of the game, with starting pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach dominating the Mets through seven innings.
And now, to make matters worse, Braves' ace and NL Cy Young favorite Chris Sale was scratched from Game 2 with back spasms -- a game in which the Braves must win to make the postseason.
But let's get right into it and dive into what happened.
