ATLANTA — With just a little more than two months until the NBA season gets tipped off, we finally know the Atlanta Hawks' schedule next season.
The full 2024-25 NBA schedule was released on Thursday for each team.
Atlanta Hawks' schedule highlights
- The Hawks will begin their season on Oct. 23 against the Brooklyn Nets at 7:30 p.m.
- Atlanta will begin the season with six of its first nine games at home, including home games against the defending champion Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
- The Hawks' first West Coast road trip of the year begins in mid-November, as they travel to teams such as Portland, Sacramento and Golden State.
- Atlanta will play in four Group Play games for the 2024 NBA Cup in November -- those games include Nov. 12 at Boston, Nov. 15 vs. Washington, Nov. 22 at Chicago and Nov. 29 vs. Cleveland
- Other big home games on the Hawks' slate include: Nov. 25 vs. Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks, Dec. 2 vs. former Hawk Dejounte Murray and the New Orleans Pelicans, Dec. 6 vs. LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers, and Dec. 8 vs. reigning MVP-winner Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets
- Atlanta will play on the road against the New York Knicks on MLK Day (Jan. 20 at 3 p.m.) and will also be on the road. The Hawks usually play at home on that day, but the City of Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz Stadium is hosting the College Football Playoff National Championship that day, which could be the reason the Hawks are on the road that day.
