Atlanta Hawks team up with Georgia Power for HBCU summer internship program

ATLANTA — Attention all HBCU students! The Atlanta Hawks is ready to welcome its next round of summer interns. The team is partnering with Georgia Power for its annual HBCU Pathways program. 

The program is a 10-week paid internship with the Hawks, open to students attending accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities. 

The Pathways program is part of the NBA’s continued commitment to supporting students at HBCUs and developing diverse talent throughout the organization. 

“We are excited to officially open the application process for the HBCU Pathways Program presented by Georgia Power,” said Hawks’ Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Camye Mackey. “Opportunities like this provides a unique behind-the-scenes experience that reveals exciting career possibilities and inspires our next generation of leaders.”

Several internship positions are available in areas such as brand communications, global partnerships, ticket sales, and more.

To be considered for the program, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited HBCU as a rising junior or senior, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75, and have a strong interest in the sports, entertainment, and hospitality industries.
