ATLANTA — As the NBA Cup begins Tuesday night for the second straight year across the NBA, the excitement of the wildly designed and colorful courts is returning across the league.
The NBA Cup consists of four group-stage games, and depending on how each team performs in pool play, they could go on to the NBA Cup's quarterfinals, semifinals and championship games, which take place from Dec. 10 through Dec. 17.
For the Atlanta Hawks, its first group stage game is Tuesday night against the Boston Celtics on the road. They play the Washington Wizards on Nov. 15 at home, the Chicago Bulls on Nov. 22 on the road, and round out group stage play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 29 at home.
Only eight teams will advance to the single-elimination Knockout Rounds. Then, four teams will advance to Las Vegas, where a champion will eventually be crowned. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural NBA Cup in 2023.
But one of the most exciting parts of the NBA Cup for fans in the first year was the wonky court designs and colors. Here is what the court will look like when the Hawks play at home in State Farm arena during those two games:
