ATHENS, Ga. -- Another Georgia Bulldog has been added to the list of those who have spent at least some time behind bars after an arrest late Saturday.
Defensive back Juwuan Lamar Briscoe, 18, was arrested by University of Georgia police on two misdemeanor charges including no license and a seatbelt violation.
Bond was set at $500 for each charge.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. according to a booking report from Athens-Clark County Jail.
The report also states that he was released just after 10 p.m. after posting bail.
Briscoe appeared in nine games, making two starts in 2015 with six total tackles and two pass breakups according to GeorgiaDogs.com. He also had two tackles in his first start versus Florida.
What, if any, effect the misdemeanor charges will have on his status with the Bulldogs is not yet known.
Previously, the Associated Press reported on the one-game suspension of defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter for misdemeanor alcohol charges.
Meanwhile, Macon.com reported on the arrest of defensive linemen Julian Rochester and Chad Clay who were booked on possession of a weapon in a school zone - a BB gun - and second degree criminal damage to property. The two were reported back on the practice field two days after being released from jail.
