ATLANTA — Georgia Tech will soon become a major staple of Mercedes-Benz Stadium's event calendar.
On Tuesday, MB Stadium officials announced the Yellow Jackets – led by new head coach Geoff Collins – will play one game at The Benz for five straight seasons, beginning with Notre Dame in 2020 (Nov. 14).
It's worth noting: UGA will play Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium for the 2019, 2021 and 2023 seasons.
In other words, the Bulldogs will have nothing to do with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium/Georgia Tech partnership.

In 2017, Georgia Tech-Tennessee served as the second collegiate game in MB Stadium history, with the Volunteers outlasting the Jackets in overtime, 42-41.
The possible reasons for Georgia Tech making the one-day move away from Bobby Dodd include:
**More money than a standard home-game take
**Guaranteed prime placement in terms of TV scheduling
**Greater exposure for potential recruits
**The opportunity to play in arguably college football's greatest neutral-site venue
