What they're saying about stunning Falcons comeback win over Eagles | Big Boi, TI and others react

Broadcaster Joe Buck was among those feeling the whiplash from the game's turn of events.

ATLANTA — It was a comeback so stunning, so improbable, that it left a veteran NFL announcer saying he hadn't seen anything quite like it in more than 30 years.

After the Eagles were just three yards from icing the game late in the fourth quarter, the Falcons took an impossibly small window for victory and smashed it open, driving 70 yards downfield on six plays in about a minute of game time to go ahead and win 22-21 on Monday night.

Broadcaster Joe Buck was among those feeling the whiplash from that turn of events.

"I've been doing NFL games for 31 years, and I don't think I've ever been as shocked, as fast, as I was tonight with the way this game ended," he said in postgame commentary.

He wasn't alone.

So often, Falcons fans have been on the losing end of heartbreaking games like this one. But for once, it was the other guys.

"The Falcons really won in a way that only the Falcons ever lose in. I could shed a damn tear," the X account @InBijanWeTrust wrote. "I cannot believe it," another user, @projectjax, wrote. "The Falcons are NEVER on the right side of s*** like that. Elation."

Matt Ryan was on the ESPN "Manning cast" providing commentary -- except in the moment the Falcons scored the winning touchdown, which left him largely speechless.

"Oh ho ho ho ho," was Ryan's instant reaction, hands raised in the air.
