ATLANTA — Just two days after the Falcons announced they hired former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as its head coach, Atlanta continued to add from the Rams' coaching staff on Saturday.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Falcons have hired Rams pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson as its next offensive coordinator.
Robinson was one of the most "popular interviews" on the offensive coordinator carousel, according to Rapoport.
He was actually drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots -- as a quarterback, a position he played in college at Oklahoma State University from 2005 to 2009.
Robinson's NFL career ended in 2014, and in 2019, he began his coaching career as the assistant quarterbacks coach with the Los Angeles Rams under the tutelage of head coach Sean McVay. After spending five seasons in LA, it looks like its on to Atlanta for Robinson as he gets set to help lead the Falcons offensive attack.
