FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — After signing a reported megadeal with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, 11Alive spotted Kirk Cousins arriving at the team's facilities in Flowery Branch on Wednesday.
Cousins was spotted arriving at the Falcons facility in Flowery Branch just after 4 p.m.
He reached an agreement on a four-year, $180 million deal on Monday. Cousins officially can't sign until today until after the NFL new league year opens at 4 p.m., but he is presumably in Flowery Branch to go through a series of steps -- such as a physical -- before putting ink on paper and locking in the deal in if all goes well beforehand.
His agent announced the move, and 11Alive's Maria Martin confirmed the details of the agreement.
Here is an exclusive video 11Alive captured of Cousins walking into the team's facility:
The terms of Cousins' contract were reported to be a four-year deal worth $180 million, which includes a $50 million signing bonus. The deal comes with $100 million in the contract guaranteed money -- $90 million in 2024 and 2025 and another $10 million in 2026 -- per NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero. He is set to earn an average annual value of $45 million in the lifetime of his contract.
Although Cousins is in Flowery Branch, there has been no confirmation that he has officially signed his contract as of yet.
