ATLANTA -- Michael Vick has set off a wave of speculation with his new Twitter avatar.
In his new avatar (for those not on Twitter, an avatar is a user's profile picture), Vick is sporting an Atlanta Falcons jersey.
Naturally, the picture has led to confusion, excitement and lots of conjecture on the part of football fans and dog lovers across the nation.
Vick spent six years as a Falcon from 2001 to 2006. In 2007, VIck was suspended by the NFL after he pleaded guilty for a role in a dogfighting ring. Vick served 21 months in prison. He was dropped by the Falcons in 2009.
Since his reinstatement in 2009, Vick played five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles spent last season with the New York Jets.
Vick is now a free agent and his new Twitter picture has led some to believe that he might be looking to end his career where he started.
Some fans were happy to see the picture:
Others weren't so thrilled.
So far there has been no word that that team is negotiating with Vick, who became the first NFL quarterback to reach 6,000 career rushing yards.
We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, give us your thoughts. Would you like to see Vick back in a Falcons uniform? Post your opinion on our Facebook page!
