ATLANTA — A newly-acquired Atlanta Falcons wide receiver will miss his first season with the team after he suffered a season-ending knee injury in practice on Wednesday, per several reports.

Rondale Moore, who was acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for quarterback Desmond Ridder during the offseason, was expected to play a sizeable role in Atlanta's offense as a speedy and shifty ball catcher out of the slot.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Moore will miss the entire 2024 season.

The loss is a huge blow to the Falcons' offense. Moore was expected to be a popular target for new Falcons QB Kirk Cousins. Atlanta also went out and signed WRs Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud this offseason. It appears now that McCloud will step up in Moore's absence.
