ATLANTA — One important note for Super Bowl visitors -- if you're flying out after the big game, you'll need to carry your Super Bowl program with you on the plane instead of packing it in your luggage.
The materials used in producing the book is setting off scanners that are forcing security agents to pull luggage off of conveyors to check individual pieces of luggage, which causes its own set of problems.
According to Jai Ferrell at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, "The 'Don't Pack Your Program' message encourages passengers to take the program through personal screening as they would a laptop or smaller personal item."
Ferrell says that if passengers carry the program book through security checkpoints as they would other carry-on baggage, the book can be inspected the same as other personal items, allowing TSA agents to expedite screening, making the process run more smoothly for everyone.
