Rumors are flying that Travis Scott will propose to Kylie Jenner at the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta on Sunday.
But by rumors, we mean that a lot of people on social media have convinced themselves it will happen.
There don't appear to be any concrete sources indicating that the Scott will get down on one knee Sunday, but the fan theories (as detailed in Harper's BAZAAR and Cosmopolitan) seem to hinge on these details:
* In a Rolling Stone cover story in December Scott said about the relationship, "“We’ll get married soon. I just gotta sturdy up — I gotta propose in a fire way.”
What would be a more "fire" way to propose than in front of hundreds of millions of people on live TV?
* The day has special meaning for the couple; it was Super Bowl Sunday 2018 that Jenner announced that she had given birth to their child, Stormi, three days earlier. The pregnancy had been kept under wraps prior to the announcement.
* They're already referring to each other as a married couple. Well, Jenner has, at least. In a Jan. 22 Instagram post, Jenner captioned a modeling photo with, "extraño a mi esposo," which translates into, "I miss my husband."
Super Bowl Sunday could be a dynamic way to make it official.
* Some fans just think it'll happen (app users click here to see tweets):
Then again, some people are worried about the prospect:
Some have even suggested that Scott may tie in the Colin Kaepernick controversy, which has led some to call for the halftime performers to #TakeAKnee, into the proposal.
What we do know is that Scott is definitely going to be in Atlanta this weekend He's scheduled to perform at the Pepsi Pre-Super Bowl Party at Planet Pepsi Friday night, and then will appear with Maroon 5 and Big Boi during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show.
Scott's plans for Saturday aren't know, but there are plenty of Super Bowl parties in town for him to keep himself occupied with. But that could leave him time to do a little ring shopping, if the fan conspiracies are to be believed.
As for Jenner, there's been no indication if she'll even be in Atlanta this weekend.
The Kardashian sister/makeup mogul/future billionaire has been consciously absent on social media this week. As of Friday, her last tweet was was on Jan. 29 to inform her 29 million followers about a lipstick sale at Kylie Cosmetics. On Sunday, she said that she had strep throat.
On Instagram, she last posted about hair and body products, also on Jan. 29.
If Jenner does pop in Atlanta, she'll likely arrive not at the world's busiest airport but instead at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. That's where pro teams and corporate sponsors have been spotted.
