The Salvation Army folks need to broker an endorsement deal with Cowboys tailback Ezekiel Elliott.
Two years ago, right before the Christmas holiday, Elliott figuratively broke the Internet by diving into a Salvation Army bucket, after a short touchdown run against the Buccaneers.
The humorous act was so well-received ... the NFL didn't fine Elliott, even though the move might have warranted a minor rebuke.
Plus, as 11Alive Sports noted at the time, Salvation Army donations surged after Elliott's celebratory touchdown.
Which brings us to the present: After running to scoring daylight on Thanksgiving Day (first quarter), Elliott approached a similarly large Salvation Army bucket ... and made a symbolic donation of $21 (his jersey number).
