PARIS, France — Allyson Felix, the most decorated woman in Olympic track and field history, is making history once again, but in a new way.
The 11-time Olympic medalist teamed up with Pampers to create the first-ever Olympic Village nursery just in time for the 2024 Summer Games in Paris.
According to a release from the International Olympic Committee, the nursery will offer complimentary services and products to athletes and their little ones at the Olympic and Paralympic Village.
"The Olympic Village nursery will offer access to high-quality nappies and wipes while also providing a space for playtime and family bonding," the release stated.
The nursery will be in the Olympic Village Plaza and open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
"It was top of mind to support athletes who are mothers," Felix told NBC Olympics. "It's a space where families can get away from it all and have some of the comforts of home. They can have playtime and have places to feed their babies."
Back in April, Felix posted on social media that she had given birth to her second child, a baby boy named Trey, after a "traumatic and life-threatening delivery" due to severe preeclampsia.
"My advocacy work around black maternal health will continue because every woman of color deserves to have the full experience of joy in birth, instead of the fear we are accustomed to," she wrote on social media.
Felix and her husband, Kenneth Ferguson, also have a 5-year-old daughter, Camryn, who is pictured above holding her mom's bronze medal in the 4x400-meter mixed relay final at the World Athletics Championships in July 2022.
