PARIS, France — A powerhouse in the pool, Katie Ledecky won her first gold medal at just 15 years old in her Olympic debut at the London Games in 2012.

Since then, she's steadily added to her Olympic medal total and got even more gold in Paris to move her way up the leaderboard.

A record-breaking 14.

The U.S. star picked up the 11th medal of her Olympic career during the 400-meter freestyle in Paris and the 12th medal with the gold in the women's 1,500-meter freestyle final. Her 13th came Thursday when the United States women's 4x200-meter relay team took silver. That was the most of any American woman swimmer ever.

But Ledecky wasn't done there in Paris. She won gold in the 800-meter freestyle and also became only the second swimmer to win an event at four straight Summer Games.
