Metro Atlanta's Daniel Roberts wins silver in 110m hurdles final at Olympics

PARIS, France — Another Georgia Olympian is taking a medal back home from Paris.

Metro Atlanta native Daniel Roberts proudly won silver on Thursday in the men's 110m hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Roberts finished in second behind Grant Holloway with a time of 13.09, which was slightly better than his qualifying finish on Wednesday.

Roberts, who is from Hampton and attended Hampton High, came second in his heat at 13.10 seconds to secure one of the eight places in the final on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old is at his second Olympics and was already guaranteed to improve on his ninth-place finish in this event in Tokyo.

Roberts finished third in the Team USA trials this year to make his first Olympics, coming off a bronze medal last year at the World Championships.

In both 2019 and 2022, Roberts also won the U.S. national title at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
