Sunday was an incredible day all around in Rio.

We saw Michael Phelps and the relay team win gold, Katie Ledecky break her own world record for gold (Hey, she trained at Georgia Tech!) and the women's gymnastics team blow the competition away as they qualified for the team finals (but it wasn't without a little controversy).

Our Georgia athletes competed well on Sunday. One UGA swimmer is moving on to a Gold medal final in swimming Monday night. Here is what you can expect to see from our Georgia athletes on Day 3:

NBC 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Swimming- Qualifying

Two more UGA Bulldogs dive into the pool Monday morning. Brittany MacLean will swim the 200-meter freestyle after finishing fifth in the 400-meter freestyle final Sunday. Melanie Margalis will swim in the 200-meter individual medley. You might remember, she qualified by just .5 seconds in the Olympic trials last month to punch her ticket to Rio.

Finally, Georgia Tech's Gal Nevo will swim for Israel in the men's 200-meter butterfly. He already competed in the 400-meter individual medley finishing 19th overall.

UPDATE: UGA's Brittany MacLean and Melanie Margalis both advanced to the semifinals, which will be held Monday night! Nevo failed to qualify for the semifinals.

NBC Primetime

Olivia Smoliga finished sixth in her heat and eighth overall Sunday night to earn the final spot in the women's 100-meter backstroke. If she medals, she could be the fifth Georgia Bulldog to earn a medal at Rio.

NBCSN 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The women's basketball team returns to the court Monday against Spain. USA demolished Senegal while breaking an Olympic record in points scored. Atlanta Dream's Angel McCoughtry and Collin's Hill graduate Maya Moore will represent Georgia on the hardwood for a second consecutive day.

UPDATE: The women's basketball team won

Outside of our local athletes competing, it will be a big night in Primetime as the U.S. men's gymnastics team will compete for the Gold in the team finals.

Happy watching!
