PARIS, France — Looking for some Georgia representation at the Olympic events on Tuesday? 11Alive has you covered. Here is a list of athletes with ties to The Peach State competing by sport on July 30: 

Shooting

  • Will Hinton
    • From Dacula
    • Matchup: trap men's qualification, day 2 
    • Time: 3 a.m.

RESULT: 27th of 30, did not qualify

Swimming

  • Luca Urlando
    • UGA senior
    • Matchup: men's 200m butterfly heats
    • Time: 5 a.m.

RESULT: 5th in Heat 2, 17th out of 27, reserve swimmer for semifinal, just missed out on one of 16 semifinal spots by 0.15 seconds.

  • Brooks Curry
    • From Dunwoody
    • Matchup: men's 4x200m freestyle relay qualifying heats
    • Time: 7:20 a.m. 

RESULT: Made semifinals as second fastest team out of 16; Curry swam second leg with fastest time on team (1:45.96).

Tennis

  • Coco Gauff
    • Atlanta native
    • Matchup: Third-round singles
      • Time: 6 a.m.
    • Second Matchup: 1st round mixed doubles 
      • Time: Approximately 10:30 a.m. 

RESULT: Lost 6-1, 6-1 to Donna Vekic in contentious fashion.

  • Maria Lourdes Carle
    • Played one season at UGA before turning pro, competing for Argentina 
    • Matchup: Second-round women's doubles 
    • Time: Approximately 9 a.m. 

RESULT: Lost 6-3, 6-4 to Spain's Cristina Bucsa and Sara Sorribes Tormo.

Rugby sevens

  • Alexandria "Spiff" Sedrick
    • Life University alumna 
    • Matchup: US v New Zealand, women's semifinal 
    • Time: 9:30 a.m.

RESULT: Lost semifinal 24-12 to New Zealand. Bronze medal match happening this afternoon.

Soccer

  • Caleb Wiley
    • Atlanta United player, grew up in Atlanta
    • Matchup: US v Guinea, men's group A
    • Time: 11 a.m.
  • Walker Zimmerman
    • From Lawrenceville, Brookwood High School
    • Matchup: US v Guinea, men's group A
    • Time: 11 a.m.

RESULT: Won 4-1 against Germany, which means the team will advance to the Quarterfinals

3x3 Basketball

  • Rhyne Howard
    • Plays for WNBA Atlanta Dream
    • Matchup: US v Germany, women's pool round
    • Time: 11:30 a.m.
  • Dearica Hamby
    • From Marietta, went to Norcross High School
    • Matchup: US v Germany, women's pool round
    • Time: 11:30 a.m.

RESULT: Won 17-13 against Germany, which means the team will advance to the next round.
