PARIS, France — They did it in the rain -- Sha'Carri Richardson and the U.S. women's 4x100m relay team came out on top in the final.

Richardson, alongside Atlanta's own Gabby Thomas, Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry, claimed the first-place victory with a finishing time of 41.78 seconds.

The U.S. was lined up in lane 5, and Jefferson took off first. She passed the baton to Terry, whose speed definitely put Team USA in a good position.

Then, it was Thomas' turn. She completed her leg, and Richardson brought it home to secure the gold.
