ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dream are aiming to set a WNBA attendance record for the state of Georgia on Monday night as they host Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever at State Farm Arena.

Some tickets remain available for the contest, which will see the Dream and Fever square off with both teams scrapping to try and make the WNBA Playoffs with a little less than a month left in the regular season.

The basics:

What else:

This is a hugely important game for the Dream -- they all will be the remainder of the way, with Atlanta currently a half game back of the Chicago Sky for the eighth and final spot in the WNBA Playoffs, with 11 more games after Monday night's tilt with Indiana on the schedule.

The Dream (10-18) are also only 2 1/2 games back of Indiana (13-16) for the seventh seed. They play both Chicago (11-18) and Indiana each one more time after Monday night.

Atlanta skidded through an eight-game losing streak for much of July, but they've won three of their last four after the season resumed following the long All-Star and Olympic break to revive their playoff hopes. Indiana meanwhile has gone 2-1 after the break, with Clark scoring 23, 23 and 29 points in those three games.

These teams played twice in June, with the Fever first winning in Indianapolis 91-84 and then traveling to Atlanta where they won 91-79.

The Dream, like other WNBA teams this season, are capitalizing on Clark's popularity with this specific game taking place at State Farm Arena instead of their regular home, the Gateway Center Arena in College Park. As of Monday morning the Dream website lists the ticket sales at 93% of the way to a sellout, with the team hoping to beat the previous attendance record of 17,575 set when Clark and Indiana were in town on June 21.
