ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dream is trying to make things right after a ticketing error caused frustration among fans hoping to attend Friday night's game against the Las Vegas Aces at Gateway Center Arena.
The team said some seats were duplicated, causing some patrons' tickets to be canceled. The organization took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to notify fans of the issue and detail the measures being taken to address the situation.
Fans impacted by the error were informed via email on Thursday and have been issued refunds. In addition, affected fans will be provided standing room only tickets to Friday night's game in lieu of a cancellation. These fans will also receive complimentary entry into the arena, along with a meal for the game.
But it doesn't stop there -- the Dream is also offering all affected fans complimentary tickets to a future game against the Indiana Fever at State Farm Arena or any other Dream game at Gateway Center Arena this season, subject to availability. A postgame on-court experience is also included as part of the compensation package.
"We’re making necessary improvements to prevent this from happening in the future," the Dream stated. "We deeply apologize for the confusion and frustration this situation has caused."
The team encourages fans with additional questions to contact them via email here.
