LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — All lanes are blocked on a busy road in Gwinnett County following a multiple-vehicle crash on Wednesday night.
Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) said that both northbound and southbound lanes are blocked on State Route 20 at Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville.
Lawrenceville Police said that there are injuries, but the extent of those are still unclear.
Emergency responders are working to reopen the roadway as quickly as possible, but drivers are encouraged to avoid the area in order to avoid extreme delays.
GDOT's website estimates the lanes will reopen around 11 p.m. 11Alive is working to learn more about what happened.
