DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Traffic cameras show one lane of cars is being allowed to pass through on the right shoulder.
Original story below
A wreck in DeKalb County has closed all lanes of I-285 North where it meets I-85.
DeKalb County Police said the shutdown was due to a "vehicle accident" and asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.
Traffic cameras showed cars stopped by at least two fire/emergency response vehicles.
It was not immediately clear if there were significant injuries involved in the wreck.
It was also not clear if drivers on I-285 could still get onto I-85 at the interchange, or if drivers going up I-85 North could exit onto I-285.
How to get around it
- Those looking to get around the stoppage can exit I-285 at Chamblee-Tucker Road, go to Northcrest Road, to where it meets Oak Cliff Road, then travel back down Buford Highway to I-285.
