ATLANTA — A deadly wreck has stopped all lanes at least temporarily on I-285 North at a critical area just before I-75 early Friday morning.
The incident happened at Cobb Parkway just before the Cumberland interchange area. Cobb County Police confirmed the accident was fatal, but they have not yet released the number of victims involved.
Traffic was being diverted off I-285 onto Cobb Parkway. For those already stuck and looking to get back on I-285, that exit feeds back out with an option to get straight on to an auxiliary ramp that leads back to I-285 or I-75.
11Alive Traffic Tracker Crash Clark advises drivers heading north looking to get around things to exit at Paces Ferry Road in Vinings and take that up to Cobb Parkway to re-enter I-285 off that roadway.
You can also get off at Atlanta Road or South Cobb Drive to get over to Windy Hill Road to get back down to I-75 entrances.
