Wreck stalls I-285 West along top-end Perimeter

The wreck happened early Tuesday and has caused cascading traffic issues all morning.

ATLANTA — A bad wreck early Tuesday morning is still causing cascading traffic issues on I-285 West on the top-end Perimeter into the mid-morning.

As of about 7:30 a.m. there were still multiple right lanes closed on the interstate at Lake Forrest Dr., just past Roswell Road, where the wreck occurred.

Backup in the mid-morning was stretching as far as Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

This wreck making for a slow ride through Sandy Springs but for now with only the right lane open by the time you run for an alternate you'll be past the scene. If it remains out there, that's another story but it's early so hang in there. #11alive pic.twitter.com/ANmRT8epnZ
