TRAFFIC | Tracking problem spots, flooding after storms roll through metro Atlanta

Storms swept through the metro area overnight, leaving behind wet road conditions and flooding in some spots.

ATLANTA — Severe storms swept across metro Atlanta overnight, leaving damage and flash flood warnings in their wake.

That also means road conditions will be hazardous Wednesday morning in some spots, and we'll be tracking traffic developments across the metro area as they arise.

Metro Atlanta traffic updates

7:35 a.m. | Some progress on I-285 East. Looks like at least two right lanes now moving past the wreck.

7:20 a.m. | Still a full closure on I-285 down there by Jonesboro Road. Delays almost all the way back to Riverdale Road. Forest Parkway is your best bet to get east to I-75.

6:50 a.m. | All lanes still closed on I-285 with this wreck below.

6:40 a.m. | That wreck on I-285 turned into a red alert. Delays starting to build up:

6:25 a.m. | There's now a wreck on I-285 East near that on-ramp from Jonesboro Road.

5:40 a.m. | Update on the situation below. The Jonesboro Rd./Hwy. 54 ramp to I-285 East is now closed with that flooding:

5:15 a.m. | So far the main flooding issue we've seen around the area is at the I-285 East ramp from Jonesboro Rd./Hwy 54. 

Right now despite the worst of the storms appearing to have hit the Conyers area, I-20 is currently clear.
