TRAFFIC | Issues on I-20, I-85, I-285 and I-75 early Tuesday

Multiple hot spots were cropping up along the early morning commute.

ATLANTA — Multiple traffic hot spots are popping up early Tuesday morning around metro Atlanta.

Wrecks and traffic backup could be seen on parts of all of I-85 South, I-20 East, I-75 South and I-285 at the top-end perimeter.

Here's the rundown.

Metro Atlanta traffic | Tuesday, November 12

I-285 East:

  • Update: This situation has now cleared a little after 8 a.m. but delays will linger.
  • We have a new wreck on I-285 East at the top-end perimeter, almost at the same spot as the last one. This is before New Northside Drive and causing delays back to I-75.

I-75/85 South:

  • Update: This wreck cleared but you're still delayed heading to the airport:
  • This one has all lanes closed and multiple first responder vehicles on scene as of 6:35 a.m. It happened just before where I-75 and I-85 split in south Fulton County and was causing delays back past Fair Drive.

I-85 South:

  • Wreck past Steve Reynolds Blvd. It's impacting left lanes and causing delays up back to Hwy. 316. At least one police vehicle was on scene.

I-20 East:

  • Wreck at Fulton Industrial blocking two left lanes a little after 6 a.m. Delays starting to stretch back almost as far as Fairburn Road.

I-285 East:

  • Update here. Lanes open, but delays still lingering:
  • This happened on the top-end perimeter heading toward Sandy Springs. The crash was just before Riverside Drive and had delays going back almost as far as Powers Ferry Road.

I-75 South:

  • Tractor trailer wreck up in northern Cobb County. Happened before Cherokee Street. Impacting the right lanes and impacting traffic as far back as Allatoona Gateway.
