Lanes blocked following multicar crash on I-75 in Clayton County

Crews were called around 5:57 a.m., and GDOT expects lanes to be clear and back open by 7 a.m.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Multiple lanes are closed and traffic is building following a crash on Interstate 75 in Clayton County according to the Georgia Department of Transportation on Thursday. 

All lanes were being held to clear the wreck around 6:50 a.m.

It happened in the northbound lanes before Interstate 285's south side. Crews were called around 5:57 a.m., and GDOT expects lanes to be clear and back open by 7 a.m. 

11Alive's Traffic Expert, Crash Clark, said to use Old Dixie Highway, Highway 54 from Morrow Road or Interstate 675 to get around. 

Officials have not provided any information about how the crash happened or those involved.
