ATLANTA — All lanes of Interstate 85 south near the Atlanta airport are shut down at the moment following a crash involving an APD officer, the department confirmed with 11Alive Saturday night.
Atlanta Police said the wreck happened on the southbound lanes near Cleveland Avenue, just a few miles north of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Police said the officer involved is "alert, conscious and breathing." It's unsure how many vehicles were involved in the accident or if there are any other injuries.
It's not sure when lanes are expected to reopen.
