At least one person hurt in crash that blocked all lanes on I-75 in Cobb County: Police

It happened in the southbound lane near State Route 5 and Canton Road.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Editor's note: The video above is from when lanes were closed.

Lanes have reopened following a crash on Interstate 75 in Marietta; according to the police department, at least one person is hurt.

It happened in the southbound lanes near State Route 5 and Canton Road. The Georgia Department of Transportation said crews were called at 3:11 a.m. and expected roads to be closed for about three hours.

The Marietta Police Department did not provide much information, but it did say at least one person was hurt. 

Drivers were asked to avoid the area, and those passing through were being diverted off the highway and onto the Highway 5 exit. 11Alive Traffic Expert Crash Clark said Highway 41 could also be used as an alternate during the incident
