GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead and two others are hurt after a crash at an intersection in Gwinnett County Tuesday afternoon, according to the police department.
Authorities said the crash happened at Lawrenceville Highway and Sugarloaf Parkway. The intersection was shut down but has since reopened.
11Alive SkyTracker flew over the intersection where three vehicles were being towed away. A convertible was crushed in the crash and a silver pick-up's hood was seemingly pulverized in the collision. A third vehicle was hardly recognizable as the roof of the car was destroyed.
Gwinnett County Police said its accident investigation unit is looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
