East-West Connector reopens after fatal accident

Details on the accident itself are still very limited.

SMYRNA, Ga. — The East-West Connector in Cobb County has reopened in both directions after crews cleared a deadly accident.

Details are still limited about the accident itself; however, a Smyrna police spokesperson confirmed one death and that the East-West Connector was blocked between Cooper Lake and Fontaine roads.

While the accident was initially expected to take several hours to clear, police had the wreckage removed and preliminary investigation cleared before 4:30 p.m.
